Abstract
Because more geriatric patients are seeking the dental surgical care, dentist (oral and maxillofacial surgeons) need to be comfortable with assessing the potential risks associated with surgical procedures. Risks that need to be considered are those physiological changes normal for aging, pathologic changes due to disease, psychosocial changes that may occur ith aging, and post-operative wound infection owing to poor systemic condition and hematoma acculumation. So, the stress reduction protocol and immediate drainage establishment are very important for the prevention of the surgical complications such as, operative bleeding, pain, wound infection.
